KRIHS Visiting from the Embassy of Sri Lanka

On 10th January 2023, Savitri Panabokke, Ambassador of Sri Lanka, and Rekha Mallikarachchi, Minister Counsellor visited KRIHS. They met with Taehwan Kim, Vice President of KRIHS, and Sang Keon Lee, Director of the GDPC. They discussed future areas of cooperation between Sri Lanka and KRIHS.

After the meeting, they toured important sights in Sejong City, such as the Auto Clean Net Facility and the Administrative City Sejong Public Relations Hall (AC Sejong PR Hall). In particular, the Ambassador had a great interest in the “Auto Clean Net System,” which is a garbage disposal system that makes a city cleaner and more environmentally friendly. The tour of this facility helped them understand the smart waste management methods that would be useful in Sri Lanka. In addition, the Ambassador, while touring the AC Sejong PR Hall, saw the overall process of planning, designing and building of Sejong City. The visit was an invaluable time to share knowledge and experience in Korea’s Eco Smart City.
