2022 KRIHS–KOICA Capacity Building Program on Territorial Policy and Planning (Mongolia)

For the third year, GDPC organized the KOICA capacity building program on territorial policy and planning for balanced national development in Mongolia from Wednesday, September 14 to Sunday, September 25, 2022. In total, 28 government officials from the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development; the Agency for Land Administration and Management, Geodesy, and Cartography; the Construction Development Center; and the State Housing Corporation of Mongolia participated in the invitational program.

On the first day, the president of KRIHS, Dr. Hyunsoo Kang, encouraged participants to study Korea’s national balanced development policy in relation to Mongolia’s future. Mr. Odbaatar Batsukh, head of the Urban Development division of the Agency for Land Administration and Management, Geodesy, and Cartography, delivered the official letter sent by the director-general, Mr. Enkhmanlai Anand, to the president of KRIHS to request future cooperation with KRIHS.

The participants from Mongolia were able to visit Korea and its public organizations, such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Busan Port Authority, and LX. Project concept papers (PCPs) were prepared by four teams and presented on the final day of the program.
