KRIHS-IDB-UNICAMP Joint Workshop: Design Scenarios for HIDS

On April 11, KRIHS organized the first workshop in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). The workshop aimed to share i) design scenarios for the International Hub for Sustainable Development (HIDS) and ii) Korean experiences of innovation park development and urban land development. More than 70 stakeholders participated in the workshop, including the Campinas City Hall, UNICAMP, and the HIDS Steering Committee, to mention a few.

This workshop provided an interactive platform to learn more about HIDS’ vision, strategies, and legal framework and to discuss design concepts and alternatives for HIDS. Through this intensive whole-day workshop, the stakeholders came to a consensus on a mutually agreed-upon design scenario to develop HIDS. The master plan and sectoral plan will be developed based on the results of this workshop.
