KRIHS discusses with ADB smart city development in India

  The Global Development Partnership Center (GDPC) of the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS) held a meeting with officials from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to discuss smart city development in India at a conference room on the fourth floor of the KRIHS building on May 31, 2016.


  Over the coming five years, the budget will be allocated for the 20 cities selected preliminarily for the ongoing India smart city project, said the ADB, adding the move will greatly contribute to the development of those cities. In response, the KRIHS said it could provide consulting on policies and the overall urban planning, suggesting setting out measures for cooperation through partnership.


  The meeting was attended by Chulsoo Kim, a finance expert from ADB, Jaemin Nam, a senior manager of K-Water who was dispatched to ADB, Sekhar Bonu, the director of ADB, Ilho Chung, director of the GDPC, Sungsoo Choi, a senior research fellow and Misun Park, an associate research fellow.​
