On May 28, 2021, the fifth Korea-Singapore Forum was held between the Korea Foundation
and the Rajaratnam Graduate School of International Studies (RSIS) of Nanyang
Technological University, Singapore. The topic of this online forum was “ROK-Singapore
Cooperation for the Post-COVID-19 Era: Resilience and Innovation,” and it consisted of two
sessions guided by the keywords “resilience” and “innovation.” Experts from both countries
explored the possibility of cooperation between Korea and Singapore on forward-looking
issues such as health and disease control, supply chain, cybersecurity and governance,
and smart cities. Geun Lee, the president of the Korea Foundation, stated that this year is
an opportunity to broaden the scope of the forum by adopting forward-looking issues in
the agenda.
Dr. Sang Keon Lee, the director of the GDPC at KRIHS, attended the event and made a
presentation titled “Eco-Smart City Initiatives of Korea and ASCN Cooperation."
