Backgrounds
- Korean government designated Saudi Arabia as a priority cooperation country so that 2nd Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) project with Saudi Arabia has been initiated.
- The government of Saudi Arabia proposed transport & infrastructure planning and policy for their consulting, specifically the advancement of mass transportation system and establishment of road DB.
Purpose
- To diagnose the current status of mass transportation system and road DB in Saudi Arabia and to provide Korea's case
- To give policy recommendations for the advancement of mass transportation system and road DB in Saudi Arabia
Contents
- Two times site surveys in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in order to understand their needs, willingness, and current status of mass transportation and road DB in May and August, 2013
- Formulating policy guidelines for advancement of mass transportation system and establishment of road DB
- Final workshop in Riyadh in December, 2013, and Dissemination workshop in Seoul in April, 2014
