- The WB and KRIHS consultancy teams had meetings in Mumbai, India from Oct. 6-9, 2012. In the preliminary meeting with Zhiyu Jerry Chen (urban economist, Sustainable Development Department, South-Asia Region of WB), the agenda and its direction were set. Then KRIHS delegation, WB, and Mumbai's first-level (Government of Maharashtra) stakeholders discussed the project, existing data, and their priorities for development of the ICT industry in Mumbai. Also, Mr. Raman K. (practice head, technology & telecom team in the TATA strategic management group) discussed with WB the project objective and his expected role.
- Second, the WB and KRIHS consultancy team had meetings in Chittagong, Bangladesh, from Oct. 10-12, 2012. In the preliminary meeting, KRIHS delegation and WB staffers - Mr. Hyounggun Wang (senior urban economist), and Mr. Byoungwon Lee (from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea) talked about the meeting agenda and main issues. After that, KRIHS delegation, WB staffers, municipality officials in Chittagong City Corporation (CCC), and stakeholders related to the ICT industry shared their ideas regarding this project.
- Lastly, the KRIHS delegation, WB staffers, and a tentative local consultant, Mr. Hossain Zillur Rahman (executive chairman at the Power and Participation Research Center) talked about the existing data and expected roles.
- Through these on-site meetings, the KRIHS and WB delegations introduced the pilot projects to the two cities and learned about their current statuses in terms of ICT industry and priorities for city development
