- On August 1st the GDPC team held a business meeting with Dr. Bhaskar Katamneni, Program Director of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Development Project (APMDP) to discuss concrete measures and necessary steps for the project as well as confirm current progress of the project.
- The main issue of the discussion (or meeting) is how to establish the National Institute of Urban Management (NIUM) in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India and to request KRIHS for providing consulting service. Detailed topics of the meeting were also discussed how to set up proper plans for the NIUM consulting and when to schedule dates for dispatching KRIHS experts to the project site Hyderabad and invite relevant officials from the Andhra Pradesh government.
- Participants also discussed the possibility of tapping additional projects such as establishing master plan for Andhra Pradesh state with a concept of smart city. Both parties agreed to work on personnel exchange within this year.
