- The delegations of the visitors for this occasion came from Vietnam's Urban Development Agency under the Ministry of Construction, headed by Deputy Director, His Excellency, Mr. Do Viet Chien and 7 others.
Purpose
- To study the policies needed to legislate Vietnamese law on urban development
- To visit the site of urban development and management.
Contents
- According to the program details, on Monday, June 13th, the delegates visited Urban Policy Department of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs to discuss ways of cooperation between the two institutions.
- Later in the afternoon, the delegates visited Korea Land and Housing Corporation. Two lectures were carried out, the first one being current status of Korea's new towns, and second being U-city. As for the site visit, they went to Pangyo Clean Tower and got explanations on current status on Pangyo New Town and visit the town area.
- On Tuesday, June 14th, the delegates visited the apartment housing complex that morning, and after receiving overall explanations on planning of the complex, had Q&A time on how the site was developed and what was the role of the central government.
- In the afternoon, hosted a workshop with the experts from the KRIHS on a theme of roles of central and local government in the field of the urban development.
- One June 15th, as part of visit to urban development sites, delegates visited Korea Wave Cultural Sites such as Namyangju, Chuncheon, and Gapyeong, and on 16th, concluded the schedule with the visit to Peace and Historical Sites such as Paju and Gimpo.
