Course Objectives

To give participants the opportunity to learn about national, regional and urban development cases by introducing land, housing and SOC policies of Korea
Work together on solving problems related to urban and regional development through presentations on specific cases of each respective country
To strengthen the basis for international cooperation between Korea and participants countries and to enhance the image of Korea

CONTENTS

Orientation

The first two days of the training course are normally reserved for an orientation session at the ICTC of KOICA. The orientation involves the following activities:

  • Welcoming Reception
  • Video Presentation on Korea and KOICA's Activities
  • Video Presentation on Korea's History, Culture, and Society
  • Class on Basic Korean Expressions
  • Presentation on Daily Life in Korea including Outdoor Practice
  • Seoul City Excursion, etc.

Wrap-up Session

This session includes a questionnaire survey, oral evaluation and departure orientation. Suggestions, questions and personal feedback on the program will also be solicited in this wrap-up session. Participants are reminded that in this session they are to review the content of training and think about how it relates to their countries' policies.
