Seminar on Road Construction in North Korea as a Development Cooperation Project

Dr. Lee Backjin at KRIHS invited Dr. Na Heeseung at Korea Railroad Research Institute for an expert seminar titled “GTI (Greater Tumen Initiative) Transport Corridor Study,” on April 10, at KRIHS.
As a GTI National Consultant, Dr. Na presented the backgrounds of the GTI, transport projects, (physical and tactical) challenges in building a transport corridor, and the progress of Rajin-Khasan Project.
Staffs from Korea Expressway Corporation also attended the seminar. The attendees discussed developing road construction in North Korea as an international development cooperation project, and the Rajin-Khasan Project was mentioned to be the cornerstone for the project.
