KRIHS—IDB Seek Further Cooperation at a Seminar

Date｜September 24, 2014 Venue｜KRIHS, Seoul The Global Development Partnership Center (GDPC) at KRIHS held a seminar with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) at Ecole Conference Room on the fourth floor of the KRIHS building on September 24, 2014. This seminar was intended to enhance cooperation between KRIHS and the IDB. On behalf of the IDB, Ana Maria Rodriguez, Manager of Institutions for Development (IFD), and Roberto Manrique, Senior Advisor of the IFD, attended the seminar. KRIHS participants include Kim Kyung-Hwan, President of KRIHS; Lee Won-seob, Director of the National Territorial Planning and Research Division; Lee Sang-geon, Director of the National Infrastructure Research Division; Jeong Hee-nam, Senior Research Fellow; and Jo Jin-cheol, Research Fellow. The discussion of the seminar focused on collaborative projects that are jointly being implemented by KRIHS and the IDB. Participants discussed major agenda items for the annual KRIHS-IDB seminar and implementation plans for a multi-year (3-year) training program. The IDB representatives also showed great interest in joint research with KRIHS and suggested that the scope of collaborative research be broadened to include not just smart city but also other areas such as mega city and housing and land issues.
