The Global Development Partnership Center (GDPC) at KRIHS held the 34th Global Development Partnership Forum (GDP Forum) on Wednesday, August 6th at the Conrad Seoul hotel in Yeouido. About sixty people attended this early morning forum. The participants included Chae Mi-ok, president of the Real Estate Research Institute of Korea Appraisal Board (KAB); Choi Chang-hak, president of Spatial Information Research Institute of the Korea Cadastral Survey Corporation; and Kim Do-Hyun, CEO of LG N-Sys. The speakers included Bae Seong-il, vice president of Yooshin Engineering Cooperation; Kim Won-sik, head of the business development division at KAB; and Koo Jeong-hyun, vice president of KYONGDONG Engineering.
The GDPC Deputy Director Jo Jin-cheol started off the GDP forum with reports about the forum venue change, seminars, and general information. Mr. Bae Seong-il, with the topic “Establishing a Master Plan for Developing an Arterial Road Network in Myanmar,” discussed the importance of the master plan and issues related to on-site implementation of the project. Mr. Kim Won-sik of KAB gave a presentation titled “Pioneering the Global Real Estate Market with KAB.” Mr. Kim introduced the global real estate products of KAB and the electronic real estate appraisal information system. Mr. Koo Jeong-hyun spoke on overseas businesses of KYONGDONG Engineering, sharing his companies’ experiences with road and transportation projects.
During the Q&A session, No Man-young, CEO of Rofam International Construction Legal Consulting, asked Mr. Bae about the right of way and Dr. Jo Jin-cheol made inquiries about the local demand and feasibility of the electronic appraisal information system of KAB. Other attendees also actively participated in the session with a wide range of questions.
The next GDP Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3rd at the Seoul Global Center Building.
