Overview
The Ministry of Economy and Finance, in collaboration with the World Bank, established the Korea Green Growth Trust Fund (KGGTF) to support the green growth of developing countries by sharing and spreading South Korea's green growth technologies and experiences. This fund supports the overseas expansion of South Korea's strengths in sectors such as transportation, urban development, ICT, water resources, energy, and environment.
In 2017, the World Bank identified 87 projects for the Green Growth Fund and submitted the project proposals to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance requested that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport review the project proposals submitted by WB. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, in turn, requested KRIHS to review the 17 projects in the urban development sector.
