Overview
The Global Development Partnership Center (GDPC) of Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS) has developed a hybrid learning platform, KRIHS World Campus (KWC), to strengthen capacity in international development and the land/urban sector. This platform provides new knowledge-sharing content on South Korea’s land planning and development and allows trainees from developing countries to access knowledge without time or spatial constraints.
The second KWC online training was held from September 23 to October 31, 2024, and 82 trainees from 33 countries participated. Beyond the simple provision of lectures, KWC also held live sessions to provide in-depth learning and interaction among learners. The live session organized for each topic enabled the trainees to maximize their learning effects by communicating with their instructors and fellow learners through pre-collected questions and real-time inquiries.
Moreover, the GDPC actively supported the trainees’ learning experiences by creating an environment in which they could ask questions and receive feedback in real time via an online platform.
